MILLERCONNECTIONS

Small Business Services

Websites, CRM systems, and calling services for small businesses

Miller Connections designs and builds websites and customer management systems for small businesses across the United States, and our phone team handles outbound calling for businesses that book appointments. Every engagement begins with a consultation and a written proposal.

Company overview

We run our own company on the software we build

Miller Connections operates an outbound call center from Dayton, Ohio that books appointments for home service companies in several states. Our phone team, office staff, and field consultants work each day in software we designed and built: scheduling, customer records, text messaging, a phone line that answers calls, invoicing, and reporting.

We offer the same work to other small businesses. A client receives a website, a customer management system, or both, arranged around how the business operates and maintained by the people who built it. Businesses that book appointments can also engage our phone team for outbound calling.

Services

Services available to small businesses

A business may engage us for one service or several. Each is scoped and priced after the consultation.

Website design and hosting

A website on your own domain, written for the customers you want and designed to load quickly on a phone. Contact forms deliver every request to your inbox. We set up the domain, hosting, and security certificate, and we make changes after launch.

Customer management system (CRM)

One record for each customer with contact details, appointments, messages, notes, and a history of every change. Scheduling follows the hours each person works, and each member of your staff sees what their role requires.

Text messaging

Confirmation texts, day-before reminders, and two-way replies from a phone number of your own, saved to each customer's record. A customer who replies STOP is not texted again.

Phone answering

A business line that answers every call. It can confirm, move, or cancel the caller's appointment, take a message, and pass other calls to your staff. Each call is logged with a summary.

Invoicing and reporting

Invoices prepared from completed work and sent as PDFs by email, with payments and past-due balances tracked. Reports show results by staff member, by customer, and by week, with export to CSV.

Outbound calling

Our phone team handles appointment setting, lead follow-up, confirmations, reactivation of past customers, and billing reminders for businesses that book appointments or keep customers on recurring service. Every call and appointment is tracked to its outcome.

Suitable businesses

Fit and scope

These services suit most small businesses. They fit best where work is booked in advance, quoted before it is done, or repeated for the same customers.

A strong fit

  • Businesses that book appointments, estimates, or service visits
  • Businesses that quote work and follow up on open quotes
  • Businesses with repeat or recurring customers
  • Owners with staff in the field and an office that schedules them
  • Any business that needs a website with a working contact form

Examples include contractors and trades, home service companies, cleaning and lawn care businesses, auto repair shops, moving companies, event services, and professional offices.

Outside our scope

  • Online stores with a product catalog, a shopping cart, and card checkout
  • Businesses seeking an off-the-shelf subscription that works the same for every customer
  • Projects that must go live before a written scope and a preview round are complete
  • Engagements with no one at the business to answer questions and review each stage

Engagement process

The five stages of a website or CRM engagement

  1. Stage 1

    Consultation

A call in which you describe how the business operates today: how customers reach you, how work is scheduled, how you bill, and which tools you use.

  2. Stage 2

    Written proposal

A written scope stating what will be built, in what order, on what schedule, and at what price. Work begins only after you approve it.

  3. Stage 3

    Build and review

Each stage is published to a private preview link. You review it there and send back any changes.

  4. Stage 4

    Launch

Your domain is pointed to the finished site, your staff receive their sign-ins, and we monitor the first week of use.

  5. Stage 5

    Support

Changes and additions are scoped the same way, and every change is recorded in release notes your staff can read.

Calling services begin with the same consultation. A campaign plan follows, and the qualification standard for appointments is agreed in writing before the first call.

Client commitments

Standards that apply to every engagement

A written proposal before any work

Nothing is built and no calling begins until you have read and approved a written proposal.

A database of your own

Each client's system runs on its own database, sign-ins, and storage. Your records are not shared with any other company, and they can be exported.

Direct access to the people doing the work

You work with the people who scope, build, and maintain your system and who run your calling campaigns. No account manager stands between you and them.

Compliant customer contact

Text systems honor STOP replies automatically. Our calling campaigns follow TCPA standards, and every list is scrubbed against do-not-call registries before calling begins.

A private, signed-in planning and investment workbench for an advisor's practice.

Questions

Common questions from business owners

What does an engagement cost?

Each engagement is quoted after the consultation, in a written proposal. Websites, CRM systems, and calling services are priced separately, so a business can begin with one.

Do you work with businesses outside Ohio?

Yes. Our clients are in several states. Consultations take place by phone or video call, and each stage of a build can be reviewed online from any location.

How long does a build take?

A simple website can be completed within days once the text and photos are in hand. A CRM is delivered in stages, and the proposal gives a date for each stage.

Do we have to replace the tools we use today?

No. An engagement can begin with the one area that needs attention first, often scheduling and reminders, and add invoicing or reporting later. Existing customer lists can be brought into the new system.

Will the system work on a phone?

Yes. Our own field consultants use it from their phones throughout the day for their schedules, customer details, and results. Websites are designed for phones first.

What do you need from us?

A contact at your business who can answer questions and review each stage, along with the text, photos, and customer lists you want brought in.

We already have a website. Can you work with it?

Yes. We can rebuild your current site on the domain you already own.

Can your phone team make calls for our business?

Yes, for businesses that book appointments or keep customers on recurring service. The Services page describes each calling service.
